The continental shelf tracking (“POST”) project of the Census of Marine Life has tracked salmon the size of a banana 2500 km from pools in the Snake River in the Rocky Mountains, down the Columbia River, and up to Alaska . A press release occasioned by a paper in PLOS Biology earns attention, including a Reuters article that quotes Jesse, who chaired the POST Management Board during 2007-2008.
