He will be working on the Census of Marine Life (CoML) and is presently helping to develop a DNA “barcode” for species identification. The goal of this project is to provide a practical method for identification of the estimated 10 million species of life on earth that can be used by CoML investigators, the general scientific community, and the interested public.
